Engine stand

Does anybody have dimensions (or a link to it) for an engine stand for the 4 valve engine? I'm fairly handy with a welder but it would be much easier if I could see what others had done.

Thanks,

Keith

This is the ducati stand, double use as it works under the bike while you're working and is a great help when I drop the engine.

The one under my 955 engine is 500mm long and 260mm wide on the base, its 100mm high to where the engine sits where this 2nd floor so to speak is again 500mm long but is narrower with a gap of 200mm for the sump to drop into and rest on, at one end there are two plates with a 10mm hole welded on that line up with the rear engine mount and these are 205mm apart

hope that helps.

Thanks guys, Thats a great help. I've got an old 4 wheel trolley thing I should be able to adapt. I must say that I like the look of the proper Ducati one (though I suspect the price is somewhat of a downside). I might try welding in an old screw jack as that would certainly help in dropping the engine.
