Difference pistons 748R vs 748RS

Anyone know the difference, if any, between 748R and 748RS pistons ?

Higher compression? Could there be a clearance problem with 748R heads and cams?

Cheers,
/Uffe

They're exactly the same, as required by the supersport homologation rules, so no increase in compression.

Valve lift is also the same on the R and RS.

RS's run (up top) different cams (shorter duration, to close faster ) and different valves (same size different material) RS ports are fully open to 36mm where R's are still around 33mm (easy gains for an R...)

Thanks Mr_S, as always informative answers :thumbsup

Natty: Yes, I was keeping an eye on those, but it wasn't worth it for me in the end with shipping from UK. I only need one piston and already got a bunch of cylinders. Someone else was lucky this time.

Now I'm just waiting for a mint horiz. 748R intake cam ;-)

I've got a pair of new unused 0E marked intake cams which I don't need, anyone care to swap?
