Broken the bike allready, need help.....
Only had the sps a short time and I've killed it allready.
belt failed at high speed, and what a mess it is now, big puddle of oil as well.
I've got it booked into baines next month due to shortage of pound notes at present, but I suspect parts are going to be a problem to start with.
any possible sources of genuine parts peeps.
It's probably going to be a massive bill, 3k plus which is not good at present.

HELP.....................

Oops,
I won't ask how you managed to lose a belt!

Try speaking to Steve Hillary at MotoRapido - he is into 888s in a big way and may have some SPS/Corsa bits, or be able to suggest alternatives. (He's also a bit closer than Baines!)

I think that he is doing a 955 conversion on a SP4/SPO for someone or you could go the 916-crank route that I did when I blew up my 888.................

Cheers, paul

Ruddy `ell Robin! I didn`t even realise you had got it!Then to hear a belt let go Geoff and John do know what they`re doing thou,if I ever ring them they`re always very helpful. When you say "high speed" do you mean high engine speed or high tarmac speed,or both?

Bad luck mate. That's a real bummer.

Not sure I'd go the 955 route though. Originality is everything with rare bikes. It'll cost a lot to repair, but changing things would surely cost you more in the long run.
