numbers
Hopefully a thread that can't lead to "handbags at dawn", just somethink i'm pondering in prep for hopefully doing a few races next season....

What numbers do you reprobates want to use - and why??

I'd like to use No.34, nothing to do with retired american hero's or anything like that, it's the number we used last year for enduro and i've grown to like it!

What's the score with how to request a race number anyway?

I requested mine when I entered - Number 12.

Why? Well, I play inside centre in Rugby and so wear the number 12, also because, at the time, it was Troy Bayliss' number on the Ducati ( ) Wonder if he'll still use it?

Was I sold a dud? The seller swore to me that this was the actual bike that Troy rode at Imola.....

Skidlids already has 88 (it's a chinese good luck thing) so I'll go the other end and have 13 if it's still available.

Mine's "111" because it just is, ok.

And yes, it will look the same upside down in the gravel as well.

As Chicken said I've mentioned I would like 88 it could be lucky.
I raced under it with New ERA last year and as DH has mentioned it reads the same either way up.

Boys,

I have entered all of the above requests into my spread sheet and we will store them for the time being.

I have no idea if New Era will let us use our own numbers or not at this time.

I put 7 on my entry form (while still asleep) and then realised, as I posted it, that some bloke had used it in the past to good effect.....

On the grounds that I can't think of anyting better then I think it'll stay.
