Just been through 4 months of something very similar and 888 was the cause, I can even remember the ride where it started. Give me a call if you'd like to discuss cause/remedy. 07887 984558. Rgds, Rob
Just athought Graham,i had pains in my neck and shoulder regions after riding the 890 ,and after talking to John he sold me some of his handlebar mounts that change the angle of the bars-problem solved. He did say they worked best for people of a certain height! Butch
Mate, had exactly the same about 4 years ago. right arm and stiff neck, it was caused by a trapped nearve, and took around 8 months to heal. It started after throwing and symptoms were weak dead right arm, no grip, constant tingling, very stiff neck. had some sports physio which helped a bit, was doing around 4 - 6 500mg ibuprofen a day just to get sleep and kill the pain aswell as loosen up the joints. so bad i changed quite a bit like my bike so i could at least ride something, and bought a new bed, then one day woke up and it was completly gone and never came back. Doctor was little help, physio was more help but it wasnt cheap and the neck stretching was good (am sure i grew another couple of inches) Now i try to do a few pressups and stretches daily to avoid it coming back. I do pity you as its an awfull feeling and you get little sympathy from others
Eight months to heal eh,best i lay the T8 up early this year then If it does "mend itself" as such, I`m going to get some adjustable clip-ons,but at the moment I just feel like jacking it all in altogether! Trick 888 anybody?
Dont give up, even if it takes a while to heal, you will adapt and learn that neurofen is your best mate, pop 2 about an hour before you want to ride and you will be fine for a couple of hours. failing that get some cyclecat bars for your bike and adjust to a position that suits you best. i put some on my 916 for a trip to spain, it made such a difference i left them on when i got back, really transforms the bike, i got this tip from BDG and never looked back

Don't you DARE even CONSIDER giving up If a namby pamby, hoity toity, airy fairy suvverner like me can get back on a bike after a little back trouble you can too!! Give yourself time and a chance to get better and we'll see you back out there "giving it some", you just wait and see sunshine
