MOT with noisy pipes

Hey --- what do we all do when it is that time of year -i.e. now! when an MOT is needed and your local dealet/MOT shop wont pass it with your noisy ones on - do we all have to put standard pipes back on for the 3 mile trip to the mot station and back??..................................: puzzled:

LRBT,

U2U sent,
It's the not the big deal it once was as the rules are a little more relaxed MOT wise now.

Ray.

MOT, noisy pipes? Why worry, Whyworry.

As Ray says a lot of it goes on the testers discretion now, as long as the can hasn't got a 'for race use only' stamp on it.

Even then, all they wanted to see on my last test for the ST was that I'd got the original cans.

On the other hand my 888 has got cored cans and they're loud even though they's got all the e stamps you want on them. If Fordie was an MOT tester it would NEVER pass.

My straight through air tube and JHP filter are louder than the 50mm straight through cans, it's all relative.

Try Grayhound M/C at west croydon, they mot both my Jota & 998, no probs at all, decent blokes as well.

Bike MOT place at Beare-Green near Capel . Sorry i can not remember their name, They are behind the van sales place on the northbound carriageway (A24).
They do all the loud Harleys from surrey harley riders.
