First ride question
Just rode the 748R for the first time today, and hav a quick question about the clutch. When setting of it feels real smooth, but when changin up or down i can hear it click at the lever, but can feel it sort of click in my hand. It feels wierd, any comments or is it normal?

Is it the standard slipper or an aftermarket ball/ramp type?

I have exactly the same "feeling" and "click" on mine.... the ball/ramp version.

The 748R as standard comes with just a ramp version, so I don't know if that's the same feel, but I'd guess so.

I get it with my slipper, but only on down changes when I haven't "blipped" enough.

Tells me it's doing it's job

Was just about to post a question asking the same thing!

Rode yesterday for the first time since November and get a really unpleasant feeling when changing gear, almost like the clutch plates are bouncing.

Did wonder whether lubing the cable might work, but does this all sound like the same thing that Chrisiball mentioned?

Bike is a 748R with what I assume is a standard Ducati slipper clutch

No, the clutch.

Didn't make it very clear on re-reading.

It get a strange, lumpy feeling when pulling the clutch lever in and wondered whether it was sticking?

Cool avatar by the way

L3OONY....

I think you'll find that the 'clutch cable' on a 748R is self lubricating, by way of it being a hydraulic system
