I currently have an old micron paddock stand that i use on my 749. Unfornately the 749 doesn't have the option of fitting bobbins - which would be my prefered choice for obvious reasons. I'm finding the cups on my paddock stand are barely big enough and make it awkward getting the bike to sit firmly in the stand. So i'm wondering what everyone else does, anyone had a thread cut and bobbins fitted? what is the paddock stand of choice?

Ducati sell a stand specifically for the 749/999. Not sure how much it costs, but if anybody's got one surplus to requirements, I'll take it off their hands.
I bought some Harris Performance stands in the hope that they would do for the 749 and Moster 620. They do, sort of, but I;d not recommend them. They are stainless, and supposed to be "universal", and the Harris guys on the phone insist they use them on 999 when I phoned to say I couldn;t make them fit. I mostly slide a rod right through them and the axle which is fine for cleaning/lubing etc but I'd be pretty nervous about wheel removal. The front one is the worst. It's a foot too wide.
