Why do you want it Jon, for the track, or the road, or both, in addition to the 999R or as a repalcement?

And how much do you want to spend? at the rate the biddings going it won't be worth it.

Shop retail price for a used one is only about £6600 so privately its only worth about £6000. Lot of bike for the money but there's still 5 days left.

Shaun,

I'm just fed up of not having a bike, OK it's ready and should be picking it up at the weekend which is great news, but I have made my mind up if it packs up again it's going, I want to ride a bike, not look at it in a workshop, and a Japanese bike will allow me to do that.

I did say I could have it as a spare just to test the water I guess, I saw this on Ebay and I know they're about for the prices you have said, so who knows in all honesty

The posts on this board of late, concerning safety problems and lack of reliability of the 999 and 749 models, has been absolutely appalling. Anyone having major problems with these bikes has my sincere sympathies !

Jon, go for the kwak. As you say, you want to ride, not wait !

Sorry, i had just read your first post.

If you want a track bike, then why not?

And why not a 600cc jap bike as a track bike? Lots of fun
I had an R6 and then a CBR 600RR as track bikes, great fun at "affordable" prices and lots of spares out there.
