male and female sticky back velcro, stick one side to the swingarm, the other to the hugger at a corresponding angle (or leave the tape off while fixed to the male half and press the hugger on), press together and velcro will hold in place

what does it actually do? does it protect the swingarm or is it just for looks, always wondered.

for me personally it's because i can't get the swingarm clean enough, so it's 100% aesthetic reasons....

The swingarm seems to absorb some of the crap on it....

i wasn't happy with the finish.

However i could easily argue the protection too as it 'would' do a job if needed.

I can testify that they do protect the swingarm from scrapes. However the 2nd hand replacement cover cost more than the 2nd hand swingarm i bought at the same time.

As has already been stated it protects the s/arm from getting trashed when hitting the tarmac, something that usually involves you hitting the tarmac too
