Ref your other thread, half the stuff on services you can do yourself if you're mildly competent with basic mechanics. No need for 2000 mile oil changes unless that's all you do every year. 6000/yrly service or 12,000/2 yrly service. As mentioned price will vary according to dealerships or independant specialists, price will depend any on work found during routine checks on these services, sometimes the work needs doing;valve clearances, pads, adjustments others not. BUT do not skimp by taking it to anyone other than a recognised specialist (plenty of mentions of them on this site) it will cost you more in the long run.
As for the suffixes, basically E/BP base model base spec, S (mono or with twin seat) higher spec (suspension , wheels, head angle adjustment) , SP/SPS/R homologation specials, for entry into supersport where the formula restrictions are tight. As said that is basically it, they are all good bikes worthy of buying, but obviously there is a price premium attached to each. Any help?
