Anyone want a job??

Hi,

Posting this for a friend of mine before it goes in the press next week.

GPR Direct Ltd (ex- Grand Prix Racewear) are after a motorcycle parts sales/after-sales technician. Not sure as to the whole spec but from what I understand the current situation has one person working on supplying Brembo/Ohlins/Marchesini/etc to both retailers and race teams. The idea is to get someone in to help both in the sales side, and in advising race teams/private clients on the best setup for their needs. I recommended we put it on the club board as the position will suit a real biking enthusiast, something we're not short of!

The position would be require professional training in Italy by Brembo, and possibly other manufacturers as GPR gets more distribution deals. (Brembo owns some other tasty brands like Marchesini and AP Lockheed, but I don't know whether they're included in the training!).

Like all the interesting jobs out there, I don't think the pay packet is huge, but it's a side of their business that's really starting to take off so there's good prospects. The company is about to move to brand new premises at Silverstone, where the job would be based.

The company has been around for about 12 years (I think!) and was set up by Ray Bellm (current chairman of BRDC) and is now run by his nephew, James Birch. Email your CV direct to: JamesB@grandprixracewear.com

You can find out more about the company here:

http://www.gprdirect.com/

It's not a great site, but gives you an idea as to what the rest of company does.

Good luck. U2u me if I can help with anything before you apply.

Cheers,

Ali
