| cheap Carbon on e bay - update 7th May Hi, A few of you may have read a thread about cheap carbon on e-bay etc. Well I bought a mono seat unit with built in heat shield as per factory WSB. After a few emails I got them to take a credit card rather than a bank transfer as I hoped to have some back up if it all went wrong. Seat was shipped on Monday and arrived today. Invoice correct and all seems OK with the paper work. The inside finish is poor, black gel coat rather than lined with carbon / kevlar hybrid when compared to all the DP and QB items I already have. The outside finish is good, but there are no holes drilled to bolt the seat pad, Ducati bum stop etc ... However I paid approx £90 inc postage and plan to cut it and vent it to look like the factory 2005 WSB so drilling a few holes to bolt the seat pad on will not be a problem. If you are looking for cheap, reasonable quality carbon that you may have to drill the odd hole in to finish it off etc then check out Carbon Force on E Bay. Guess it's buyer beware and you pay your money and take your chances ...... as for me, I'm happy    [Edited on 7-5-2005 by Carbon749]  |
