Suspension eccentric

For those of you with adjustable ride heights with an eccentric at the top of the rear shock linkage, could you please tell me in what position you have yours in?Mine is currently at the 4 O'clock position.I 've been told anywhere betwen 5-8 is best.I have tried this, but at slow speeds(ie round town),the bike feels really "tippy".I know there is now more weight over the front. Is this a trade off for the quicker steering?

Cheers.
