DSC website problems

Hello

Sorry I hope not to upset too many peeps,

but this website is getting to be a pain in the ***

I understand its new, and the MT are working outside normal hours
to provide the best looking web site to all (and personally I think it is)

But I have tried to access the website from a Macintosh and a PC and I
am still getting the memory problem, can not login etc

I hope the MT can solve things for the better? as it does not look good.

Please don't take this the wrong way, it's just fustrating

Hello Nigle C

It don't bother me either too much, but then again for people visiting the site

Well, after tomorrow we should be getting the green light to make a major change in our server and provider. Once the MT have agreed the way forward we'll put something up letting you know what will happen.

Why?

I do not understand in this era of instant communication why the MT of this club had to wait for a meeting to decide to spend money on a new server. All that was surely required was a proposal from Eamonn and then an email vote? That could have been done weeks ago.

It only took a weekend to vote me out - not that I'm bitter of course

It's an age thing I'm afraid. Try post it notes stuck on the screen reminding you how to do it. It works for me.

Henry,

Because Eamonn has only finished his investigation on the way forward and, and asked for Frank's and my thoughts last night. He then sent this onto the MT as a whole this morning. Seeing as the MT are meeting tomorrow, it seemed sensible to leave this till then to discuss. I should have been slightly clearer in my response. No spin, just facts. as for bitter, I'd say stout

Well Mark, thanks for those helpful thoughts - I'm glad I'm not paying for Eamonn's meanderings any more.

Easy Henry, Eamonn has been the backbone of the webteam for a long time and done a stirling job. Put up with a lot of things and kept soldiering on despite it. Unfortunately for the DSC his skills are in high demand with his work as well, I've tried to call him early in the evening after I'm home from work on numerous occasions and he's been out on a customer site.

I dunno, he might like to get out on his bike occasionally as well!
