Ducati-Midget bikes.

hi all,
Had ago on Djtera's bike 998S(before he crashed it......again:P) and it felt soooooooo tiny.like my chin was above the front tyre.
The R6 felt huge compared to roys dirty broken little beast.

Any ducati 6ft 3,6ft 4 owners here?
when you got the bike did you change anything straight away just to make it comfy or is it just me?

Didn't know what the handling was like, just started ****ing it down when i got on it and also roys tyres were proper fecked and his suspension was setup for the Track.

Adjustable rearsets and moving the bars should make it a lot easier. You could also fit bar risers if you really wanted. Then there's the ride-height to be played with...

Basically there are a load of adjustments you can make on a Ducati to suit the rider - whereas the Jap bikes tend to be less adjustable and designed with all in mind.

6 foot in the summer, a few inches shorter in the winter.

It's never really been a problem. The RVF was a small bike compared to the 748, so I can't see how you cope with the VFR but didn't like the 996. Yes they fell much thinner and different, but the layout is more stretched and more racer like.

Then again, I had an RGV250 before that so I've never really had a "comfortable" bike

Hey Jewell, I'm only 6'2'' but had a 996 for 18months or so. Have to say that even having come from my previous 750ss it took a bit of pain, wrists particularly, before 996 felt anything like comfortable Having said that it also took 3,000miles round Europe to make me realise that it wasn't the bike for that kind of trip......
That's why I now have a Multistrada! Comfort and joy in the same package.

Know what you mean about Bike feeling small. When I got back on 996 after initial test ride on MS felt like I'd stepped onto a Mini-moto in comparison.

Save yourself some pain and buy an MS! epain
