Thanks everyone - still can't believe it..............CK / AK have sent a pic to your e-mail address, The worrying thing is that it must have been so premeditated - i arrive home at 7p.m. to take over kiddy duty - put two(of 3) to bed at 7:45 - my wife arrives home at 9 - no bike. checked with neighbours and guy over the road saw it being dragged into a white van at 7:50p.m. no alarm going- nothing !!!!!!!!! i had a bike stolen from work and so parked the 748 in undergrnd carpark with security guard after that which cost £3 day but peace of mind. take care everyone and more than that watch what parts you are buying and from whom.
Where do you live? I have heard of bike thieves waiting on the embankment for bikes they fancy and following them home. A friend of mine had 2 bikes stolen, both within 15 minutes of him getting home. The police say it is quite common.
well i work in clerkenwell(live in norf london) and there is a bike park here we have nicknamed "the showroom" it is a regular spot-it even has the pull up anchors installed, but they still nick'em. yeah - the copper on the phone was pretty calm and said much the same - just haven't been able to catch them at it.
**** new that I had a Car nicked in Nov, Still not been recovered Would be really gutted if the bike went. Mine does live in the house but am still considering an anchor point.
chances of getting it back - miniscule - yeah i often have mine in the front room too - i will probably have the next one(??? first positive thought today) beside the bed. just be very suspicious of any van you see parked in your street or around the corner. regarding insurance - i hope this is just painless and no hassle really.
feel for you mate and hope there ear holes turn into ********s and **** down there own backs. my mate had his go missing and he rang taxi companies and explained his situation and they kept a look out for him and he got it back just with egnition damage, might be a little late for you to do that but anything could help. good luck!
That is totally Sickening mate, really gutting, hope the insurance sort it quick, what more can we do when these guys are following bikers home to get their address?
