Glad I saw this posting-I had forgotten that final qualifying was today, caught the last 15 minutes.( this was from Weeksy's posting about Xaus being on pole)

According to Charlie Checa it all gonna be about the start. The circuit is very dirty off line and the guy that makes the start is gonna be very difficult to pass.Loads of riders had grass tracking moments in qualifying.
Checa looked very smooth in his fast lap while Capirossi was the opposite, spinning up and sliding everywhere.I felt sorry for Edwards, fastest all session, then lost out to heavy traffic when the qualifiers came on.
Rossi seemed to be concentrating on race set up and was doing consistant fast laps.Should be a good race.

Whats all this about Rossi's team doctoring the tarmac? He's been moved to the rear of the grid to start! (Had 6 seconds added to his qual time)

His team were caught doing burnouts on his grid position to put some rubber on it!

We'll see if he does a Vermuelen and finish 6th!

So, it was Repsol H***** who complained.

Biaggi also appears to have been penalised 6 seconds on his qual time. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy
