Rear Shock

I'm looking to order a rear shock with ride height adjustment. I was on the Ohlins web site and no 600ss listed but 750 and 900. Part numbers DU245 46PRCLS (remote preload) and DU235 46PRCL. Does anyone know if these will fit the 600ss. I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't but I am new to the 600's. Any advise would be appreciated. Other makes also considered.

I would fit a DU235 to my 600SS if I could get one cheap enough, the one on Ebay last week went for £370, be cheaper for me to get Harris to modify my 916 Ohlins with a longer damping rod.

DU235 is the one you want, but as skids says they tend to go for silly money. I haven't seen a used one anywhere for over a year (and I've been looking that long for one for my superlight).

Why the 235 over the 245. I can get the 235 for £368.00 and the 245 for £471.00 thats new not secondhand. Delivery about one month so I need to order today. Thanks for the help. Anyone else any thoughts before I place the order.

Don't know! I've never heard of the DU245, but I do know there was a shorter version of the 235 for the japanese market that you definitely don't want!

Ok, just had a look at the ohlins site. The DU245 has remote preload adjustment, but much less ride height adjustment in the direction you'll be wanting (longer). It has +4mm instead of the 235 which has +12mm.

I'd definitely go with the DU235. Are you going straight to Harris for that price?

Cheers,

Ali
