Was thinking of getting a caravan and converting rear to carry bike to tracks, anyone else take a caravan ? Don't like bike trailers plus would be nice to get good sleep in, Myk

Some people have vans, not the most comfy, some people tow caravans with a van, some have a campervan and bike trailer, one or two have converted caravans, personally I use a trailer and normally find a local B&B or travelodge, propper bed, heating and bath to keep the misses happy much more civilised.

I've got a caravan to use this year. (Or should I say shed on wheels) it only cost me £200 from a friend of a friend so they can be picked up cheap. I camped in a tent at cadwell last year and had a bad back for about a week. I've seen a couple converted to carry bikes in and looks like a good alternative to buying a van.

Had a caravan converted when i raced, great, even went caravaning in the lake district after the conversion.
make sure you get one with a side toilet, other wise no chance of converting it.

Chris.

Jigsaw with a long metal cutting blade or reciprocating saw with metal cutting blade, demolition blade would be better as it is thicker.
