750 Sport - Front Sprocket

Hey Gang
I've run my 750 Sport with a 14 tooth front sprocket for several months now (it previously had a 15 tooth). My impressions are very different from my expectations:
MPG: Economy went down by about 10%.
Top Speed: Down by about 7%
Acceleration: Slightly better, but not amazingly so.
On the plus side, the gearing means that the engine is happy at 30mph (a contented 3000 rpm in 3rd, rather than revving in 2nd or labouring in 3rd).

Anyone else share these experiences or have different ones? I think I'm going to swap back to a 15-toother. What are the alternatives?

Thanks!
