900ssie

I'm about to purchase one of these, a 2002 (last year they were made) on an '03 plate.

Just wondering about spec, I've read that the 2002 version has ohlins rear shock as standard but I'm sure this one didn't have an ohlins, it just looked like the boch one?
The swingarm looked like aluminium.

How can I be sure its a 2002 version and not an older one that only got registered in 2003?

Thanks

Mood: Almost over it.
The 2002 900ssie has the 5 spoke Marchesini wheels as standard, rather than the 3 spoke Brembos that all the other earlier 900ssie have.

I have a 2002 model 900ssie reg'd in 03. The one your looking at should have an ohlins shock if its an ss, if its a boge shock it'll be an 's' model. its worth paying the (little) extra money on a proper ss as you get top draw suspension and brakes compared to the spec of the sport model...

....not that i know much about them or anything...

I've got some brochures from that year knocking about if you want to know any details

Good Luck
