You just missed a set of Bora cans for an SS on eBay. These are standard cans that have had the catalytic converters and all the restrictive gubbins removed to make them into straight through pipes. You could get this done to your own cans, or try and get a secondhand set off eBay and get it done to them.

It should be relatively cheap to do and will keep the standard looks.

I've got a set of Bora cans on my 888 and it sounds luverly

I have a set of standard level carbon SIL cans on my 2002 900ssie.

Pics here:

I also used these on my previous 750ssie. They swap across no problem. Originally bought them from Nelly at Cornerspeed for a good price.

I haven't changed ECU and have a bad "cough" at 4,000 rpm. This should be fixable with correct tuning.

I would like high level cans, and believe that the hangers can be modded to keep the footpegs, but it raises the hight of the pegs and probably wouldn't be so comfortable for your passenger.

I've also taken the trumpets off the airbox and changed to a 14t front sprocket.

Just had a look at your pics Phil.

Nice bike, but are you sure that the fully adjustable shock is made by Brembo?

No, no I'm not. Which is why I've just changed that information so I look like I know what I'm talking about! :-P

Thanks for picking me up on that.

Both sets look good, like the redracing cans..

Thanks for the pics.

At least i know i can get them, none of the big manufacturers seem to make them, i'll have a look around and see in the new year - FAT chance anyone will buy me some for xmas !!

Gorgeous weather at the weekend and missed both days..then the first salt went down sun evening...D'oh !!
