It wouldn't pull 14/48???? Wow, that's WAY short!

I'm going to run 14/46 there tomorrow and see how I get on.

Although I'm only running a lowly underpowered 583 I was looking at running either 15/42 or 15/41 gearing, there should be plently of bikes in front for me to slipstream. But only one practice session that is going to be our timed quallifier there isn't a lot of room for to big a error.

15/41 would be a good start for you kev...i was on 14/39..the ratio difference is 0.3........

but i'm changing mine to get more top speed...........

As a reminder, on the straights almost all your power is being used to overcome aerodynamic drag so learn to tuck-in well to go faster.

Very good point - I have clipons and a nosecone to go on the bike. I'll be able to get right under it all.

TP - have you tried Mike at robsom racing ?
Mine arrived last week 2 days after ordering. I'm not sure if your bike and mine use the same sprockets though but worth a try.
