Catch the mirrors
Can't sleep again so had a scan through the DSC San Diego website. This is a picture of one of the memebers 888. Check-out where the mirrors are

Tell me it's an optical Illusion

It's an optical illusion.
What's happened here is what's called a disruption across planes in the space-time continueum. Sometimes portals to time and other dimensions open up and transmogrify into two or three different dimensions, but they happen quicker than the naked eye can see. But they're happening all the time.
In this case, the car park where the picture of this 888 was taken, used to be a popular meeting point for 'rockers' on 1960's cafe racers. It just happens that the 888 is parked just in front of where the van selling tea used to be back in '67. One of the rockers, Jimmy, being the leader of the pack, used to park his Triumph in exactly the same place, until tragically one night he crashed his bike racing a Norton. Hence, the ghost of him and his Triumph lives on at his favourite parking spot. So when the picture of the 888 was taken, the camera captured not only the image of the Ducati, but the 'time - shimmer' overlay of the mirror on Jimmy's Triumph. And weirdly it looks like it's sticking out of the end of the Ducati's handlebar.

It's a funny old world.

What a wonderful story. I was entranced! Have you thought about writing for Woman and Home?

I was always told that you don't need mirrors because you don't need to see where you've been, you need to see where you're going.

don't be daft you lot - that's not a mirror at all but a technology throwback called a 'trafficator' - it's obviously someones attempt to reduce electrical loadings, I just can't work out from the pics just how the thing deploys from the bar end - any chance of some close up shots...

If you look really closely you can even see a couple of candles behind the headlight lense...
