Do I keep the clock?

I'm currently stripping the 600 Monster and was wondering if I keep the clock or not. Of course if I keep it I will hide it not to see the speed (I think being aware of how slow I am could make me stop racing ). What makes me hesitating is that I may want to put the Monster back on the road (for Julie actually) after 1 or 2 DD seasons, and I want to know its real mileage (for services, etc...). So what do you think? I think I could hide the clock somewhere in the front fairing and forget it...

Replace it with a rev counter then get a dyno run done and work out where power tails off in the rev range and then you will know when to shift into a higher gear. A rev counter also makes sprocket selection easier.

I thought about fitting a rev counter on the bike and making it dyno'd... just to see how it works
But if I get ride of the sundial (ha ha ha Paul, you teached me a new word ) I'll have to find something to put on the axle won't I?

Tonio
You will need a spacer if you remove the speedo drive, But if you leave the speedo drive in its fine.
