EOBD light (amber)

A question.

With 5th gear and about 255Khm (160Mph) the amber EOBD light turn on for about 2sec and after turn off.
Anybody to Know why?
My bike is 999 2003 with 7000Khm (4375Mph).
Is this a problem?

I was told that it can come on from time-to-time as it runs a diagnostic. I would only be concerened if it either stays on on comes on frequently.

I agree with Anito. Had mine come on for short periods, but never had any problems as a result (touch wood).

EOBD light

I've an 03 749 which has flashed its EOBD light at me often, nothing nasty has happened yet. But I have reported it to the dealer as it has happened. Warranty runs out nextb March. 999 beckons....

From other posts:- turn ignition off, hold down left button, turn ignition on, and you'll see what the error code is.
Nelly posted a list of codes elsewhere in the 999/749 section.
Error on mine was 2.1 and even though I knew it was a sensor (from nelly's codes) the dealer was awaiting info from Ducati as to what the fault was. ....still waiting.

overheat catalyst

My dealer says overheat catalyst and this is normal no problem.
My 999 under 8500 rpm with 6th gear and full throttle twistgrip the amber EOBD light turn on and when i close the twistgrip about 9000 rpm then the light off.
Is this normal?
Any idea?
