BSB Test day at Croft Thursday 5th August

In preparation for the inaugural visit of the THINK British Superbike
Championship to Croft Circuit over the weekend of August 13/14/15th, race
starved fans in the region can get their appetites well and truly whetted
beforehand when competitors and machines take to the track for the official
BSB Test and Media Day on THURSDAY AUGUST 5th.

Virtually all of the major teams will be descending on the North Yorkshire
circuit in order to test and to meet members of the media but such has been
the interest in Britain's premier motorsport series, the circuit management
has decided to allow the general public access to the day also.

With the restrictions of a normal race weekend somewhat lifted and race day
PR pressures off the riders, fans can meet their heroes and check out the
machinery as well as seeing the 180mph superbikes in action around the
North's only permanent circuit.

Championship leader John Reynolds and Rizla Suzuki team mate Yukio Kagayama
will be two riders in action as well as MonsterMob Ducati's Sean Emmett and
the Hawk Kawasaki trio of Scott Smart, Glen Richards and John McGuinness.

Virgin Mobile Samsung Yamaha fields a quartet of bikes in the hands of James
Haydon, Steve Plater, Gary Mason and Tommy Hill whilst local hero Dennis
Hobbs from Guisborough will be in action also.

Yorkshiremen Karl Harris, Tom Sykes and Jamie Robinson will be in Supersport
action, as indeed will Teessider Paul Veazey but keep a close eye on the
likes of Midlander Simon Andrews, Ulsterman Michael Laverty and Spaniard
Pere Riba as well as the Padgett's duo of former GP racers, Jay Vincent and
Leon Camier.

British Championship support classes will also be in action including the
National Superstock Championship, National Superstock Cup, Yamaha R6 Cup,
125cc GP and British Superbike Cup competitors in various sessions.

Admission costs a bargain £5.00 each with free car and bike parking included
Further information is available from Croft Circuit on 01325 721815.

Speedfreak have this down as being a track day!! They are there the day before as well.

Anyone fancy their chances in the Fearsomely fast (FF) group ??

Come on Weeksy!!

I reckon I would be ok on the straights in the 125 group on me 998 but the corners are a different matter!!

"I reckon I would be ok on the straights in the 125 group on me 998 but the corners are a different matter!!" you got that one right Ray-the 125's make the 600s look like a gentle Sunday rideout..............
I'm not even so sure you would be alright on the straights mate.
