916sps

Can anyone tell me if all 916sps 's were the 996 engine? Or more specifically a 916sps on a P reg, is this 996cc?

Strangely enough as well the 1997 916 SPS was the most powerful Ducati until the 996R! The 916/996SPS from 1998 to 2000 were less powerful or revvy... but more grunty though!!
