Help ... My baby is calling to me ...

I swapped all the road gear back onto the 998 today and took her out for a quick spin.

When I got back and was putting her away I noticed a noise coming from under the tank. It sounds like a phone that's not been hung up properly with a long sort of beep every 4'ish seconds. At first I thought it was the fuel pump so I disconnected the plug underneath the tank but it kept making the noise. So, I have no idea.

I'm just about to go and watch the England game and have a few beverages so I'll check this thread when I get back, if I can still see properly, or if you have my number and can help please give me a call. I'm not a fan of leaving my phone number for all to see on the web ...

Anyway, she can still put the widest smile on my face - what an amazing bike. Fast as f ....

Here's a slightly blurry camera pic after I'd finished putting her back together.

It's just your bike saying tank you for a nice ride out.

Been having a think about this and I seem to remember a couple of times when we went out on long runs and it was very hot it sort of 'pinked'. It was the fuel tank expanding. When it cooled the 'pinking' went away?

Mine hums as well. Almost like a chirping noise. I just thought it was the bike thanking me for not dragging her down the road.
