Shame about the forecast. Also glad i could not make it. Done it before in the wet, and it can be a bit of a hard slog;

Forecast looking pretty grim, lets hope it clears up for them. Decidedly dodgy place to be riding in the wet IMHO, once it sets in the mist comes down and it's orrible (as I'm sure doogalman can confirm). The circuit is so big that you can be riding one half that is bone dry while another section can be under torrential rain.

I gave up riding there in the wet. I'm not the quickest rider around there , but prefer dry , however if on four wheels i just do the laps at a reduced pace to learn the lines and quicks that you overlook at a pushing pace.
However it's fairly dry at the start gate at the mo;

Image can be refreshed every minute. Nice to see people getting laps in.

Sky doesn't look too black in the background so maybe they will be lucky.

Looks pretty busy now but they are probably trying to get some laps done just in case the rain sets in again.

I bet the track is still very damp in places, makes me cringe when I see dark tarmac over there.....lol

Sometimes it is best to get a couple or three laps done early, even if there are damp patches, because come 11:30 'ish when the 'terrorists' sorry, yellow plated tourists arrive it just is not worth being out there.

Looking forward to June when I get my first trip this year, and meeting up with Mav.

The good news is even with torrential rain the track can dry almost completely in about 30 mins, just a little sunshine and a breeze and you can watch it dry !!!

I look forward to the reports on their return and hearing them planning their next trip.
