brake pads??

part of the autumn clean, going to replace pads on my sps. What are best???

I fitted Carbon Loraine sbk3 to my 'R',well impressed when they bedded in (after about 50/60miles).Bought them off e-bay for £28incl p&p for a full set.Think there is someone selling CL on e-bay at the moment.hope this helps

...although if your SPS had cast iron discs then SBK3's eat them up.

From memory, i think a lot of peeps use bendix 'something or other' with the iron rotors.

Paul I prefer the Ferodo CP911 stars with the cast discs, but would like to try the Bendix ones at some time.
Stainless discs and I use either Ferodos, SBK3s or EBC HHs the latter of which have been fitted to the TT bikes for the last 3 years.

Hello,

I run bendix pads, a cheap mod But well worth the expensive.
for me a big difference in stopping power.

standard sps full floaters - iron I think(?) - so is it best to steer clear of certain makes/types?

SBK3's don't like the cast rotors...........or they do 'cause they eat them
Bendix MF compound work fine with the cast rotors and seem to perform extremely well.
Price is good to against the SBK3's. About £18 a caliper I think

Paul, EBC HH pads on mine, but then I've got the stainless discs

HH's are great, silly stopping power at the Rock' and on the road too

Mood: My Jota goes rumpety rump! & I have my wife exactly where she wants me!
I use EBc H series on my Laverda and will put them in my 998 when the time comes. Highly recomended.
