Quote 'dogs dinner of underseat' - you mean like the 749/999 then which is plug ugly and only bettered if replaced by the carbon Termi.

Have you seen an R1 with an Akropovic can - beautiful rear end, a bit like the CBR600RR with the same pipe

Defection.....not likely,,,,but then again the new blade in red looks awsome in the flesh.

Hi folks thanks for the posative feedback.

antony i know what you mean.

Ray it's the clutches that had the problem. they assembel them dry at Yamaha (no oil in the sump) so they grease the plates to stop them sticking but someone at the factory got over zealous. The call back is to clean out any excess grease mine has been done so no ray you wont **** on my chips

Mmmmm had a go on the new CBR1000 on sunday - felt a bit soft but I gues thats down to how the dealer set it up!
It was definitely fast - like 140+ in third gear!!

Gonna test the ZX10 and the R1 this weekend if the weathers nice

Hmm. Exotic machinery indeed!

Not my cup of tea but you have to admire the way they're designed. Much more distinctive and aggressive appearance than a few years ago when most jap bikes looked the same.
Enjoy it Mark, there'll be a few more around this summer.

Great choice Mark. Even Jezza McWilliams rates it the best '04 1000cc roadbike. Killer looks too. 'Fraid I've ventured from the path of righteousness too having just bought a 600rr. Anyway, here's hoping we both have hours of fun before our bikes start furring up eh!
