Foggy reps
MMMMMMMM! quite fancy one. Anybody know what they are worth? roughly obviously! currently lookin at a 4000 mile one
as new as you would expect.

Or would i be better getting a standard sps.

Any thoughts/advice would be very much appreciated????

Thanks guys top site by the way

916err,

Prices vary wildly. The full list on these bikes when they came out was £20,500
But could be bought for a lot less if you could find one still in stock nearly two years later

Make sure the ones you are looking at are genuine bikes. I'm noto 100% sure how you check bu there are lots of "foggy reps" about that are not "official".

Basically you are looking at a 916 SPS (996cc) with a special paint job, black three spoke wheels, some extra carbon, a foggy rep. numbered plaque on the yoke, cover etc? if my memory serves me correctly. I'm sure someone will correct me if the info. isn't right.

if you must have a 916/996 SPS the 2000 model was the last of the line, Ohlins front and rear, five spoke wheels, the one to have IMHO. Around £10k should buy a minter, probably less, have seen 'em up for around £9k, 996r money if you are lucky and you get a better engine IMHO.

Hope this helps,

Ray

think it also hasd a wider fram to accomodate larger airbox??

not sure if its worth the extra cash over normal 916sps...which is IMHO the one to have

Thought the Foggy Reps had 5 spoke Marchesini's? Dunno if they're Mag or alloy though?

Quite right Jon the Foggy's have black 5 spokes, not mag though (I have the same on my SPS).

The 2000 SPS is the better bike because of the Ohlins forks

However the Foggy rep is rarer / more exclusive

Either is fantastic so you won't be disappointed.

Speak to Stuart at Spareshack - he sells bling bits for Ducati's, and has a Foggy too. (Think he might be heading for IOM tho?)

Re foggy rep
does £8000 sound good or bad for a 2000 registered foggy rep? 4500miles

They do have black marchesinis and a full titanium system with carbon cans and a modified frame for air box!
So 8000 what do you think???????

Bradders is right on the modded frame for the deeper airbox. Like on the 748R

Foggy rep was to allow homologation of this frame, and therefore airbox, for racing in WSB

guess it depends on why you are buying it - if its for fun, 2000 spec sps better VFM IMHO for 8k but for historic value I guess nothing beats the foggy rep...I wouldnt pay 8k for one tho
