Bland Carbon Hugger...

Recently got my Christmas pressie off ebay, a nice carbon rear hugger / chain guard / brake cover - all in one thingy.

Fitted it this morning but "how bland and lost" does it look !

Any one got any pics on how to spruce one up with a nice sticker or something ???

anyone recommend a good seller on ebay to get the stripe kits from, would prefer a all in one job set instaed of having to stick on the thin lines aswell as the corse logos

Currently I'm in the process of looking at putting some kits together that would include a gel type Ducati shield. Same type of fininsh that they use on the gel front number boards.

Looks much better than a flat sticker or printed logo on the stripe. Also means you can polish it without effecting the finish or colour.

Would also include a few other gel type decals and protectors. I'm about 2 to 3 weeks away from having this sorted .... watch this space as they say.

In fact if you can afford it go for a front carbon guard and put corse stripes on them both. Looks very trick.

...something like this ?

It does look cool I must say.

Will do one for the front with the red corse sticker and one for the rear with the yellow corse sticker.

Just off to measure if it will be long enough for the rear too...

Will yours be better and cheaper ???

Thanks.

Will look just like that when fitted.

As for quality, being honest the stripe will probably be simlar. There are only so many types of decent quality vinyl out there so it will be similar.

The difference that I will offer will be the gel covered Ducati Corse shields. These are top quality and better than anything else offered on e-bay or similar. They will be the same finush as the gel number boards.

As for cost, not sure yet .... what does that stripe kit cost, about £15 ?

The one on the rear will look naff. Better off black or std carbon, blends in with the tyre then. It does its job, and you dont see it!

Carbon749 - Yes, £13.50 including postage from Ducat1.com.
I know the type of gel stickers you mention, they are quality.

AndyB - take on board your comments regards the rear white stripe. Will have some further consideration.

Carbon749 - send us a U2U when you get some, many thanks.
