Thye don't have to take the head off off to check the valves etc, simply removing the two inspection covers on the front and rear of the head will allow them access. There are plenty of mechanics out there who can get these off without having to clean them!!!!!

I find a little dab of snopake (correction fluid) on the relevent bolts and screws keep the mechs honest!

That said, since I do most of it myself now, I'm only kidding myself!

I will have to take a pic of my, My pet Monster had it for years now

Heres a list of the gaskets/o-rings they replaced,

ROCKER COVER GASKET X 2
EX ROCKER-COVER GASKET 996 SPS X 2
CAM BLOCK O RING*4 VALVE*
CYLINDER HEAD O RING (SMALL)

No inspection plate gaskets mentioned, any one know where the above items are in these pics

Heres another looks well dirty and taking it off would unsettle some but looks untouched, even the y-piece looked as if it had never came off!!

These are the inspection plate ones I believe - "ex" meaning the exhaust side and the other being the inlet side.

The gaskets in the pics look new, but as you say the bolts don't appear to have been touched, but maybe it's only the way I do things that ends up with them all being rounded out

I'm sure Nelly will be along in a minute with a professional opinion.

Gorra say I'm of the same opinin as you Lee, these don't look like they have been touched. Why don't you U2U nelly and ask his opinion
