I think you can fill in the log book with the changes and then take it to the post office and they will send it off for you at the same time as they tax it. Will need an MOT if its old enough as well of course. You can just fill in a V10 at the post office, you dont even need the log book.
Cant' you take the whole lot to the PO/local DVLA and do it all at once. The tax is for the bike, not the owner, tax it now, on AK's docs, then swap ownership.
Cant do that Rob, cos no insurance for her at the mo at all mate - and they like an insurance cert of sorts....
Prob best I pop down to post office at lunch time to check, its just it gonna take ALL my lunchbreak in getting there & back Then go back there tomorrow when ins cert comes thru if going to get lucky
All you need to tax it is an MOT and an insurance certificate or cover note that shows the reg no of the bike. You don't need the log book (just fill in a V10 if you don't have the renewal letter like i didnt last week). My insurance certificate did't even have my adress on it.
Download and fill in form V10 and take it with the Insurance, MOT (if required) and ideally the green bit from the logbook for the new owner, (small section that tears off) to the post office
