Yeah...I think you'll find he's THE man...

You are guaranteed that it will be Nelly that works on your bike....NO YTS youths...AND the coffee is marginally better than a few months ago... (cough, cough, cough!)

Prices are reasonable, (That 's the polite way of saying effin cheap!)

Wont take my bike to anyone else...EVEN if he does take the pees out of me when I go up...

(I want commission on this Nelly!)

Lisax

Errr Mr Morton...I only go on a Saturday when I know you will be there!!!!!!!! (mwah...mwah...!)

How did you get yer name Stonovan, we'd all like to hear

And finally newbies get to buy a virtual round at the virtual bar
Mines a pint of Sauvignon Bland with a Pedigree chaser, and KB's (Kwikbitch - who visits Nellys most saturdays) is a pint of Drambuie shandy

Got me name when I was a (little) kid, it''s a long story, summat to do with my surname and being a Jock, but most people call me Ston.

Should just about be able to afford a round of soda water after payin for bike repairs

I called Cornerspeed, Nelly was very chatty.
Wondering if he does any work?!

Is £515 a reasonable price for a full 12k service?
That's without DSC discount - what should I expect?

Its not reasonable but thats what it costs! My 6K service cost £595 but that included three rockers.

What i mean is that £500-£600 is a silly amount of money to be spending on serviceing every year but i dont regret spending a single penny of it with Nelly.

£515 is a good discounted price already - I doubt you'll get it much lower than that. I've paid £511 at TecMoto who are just down the road from me (in Essex) and of similar recommendation to Cornerspeed.

Dealer price for a 12K is around 600 quid. Again, I've paid £595 for a 12K service at a dealer, so it sounds like the quotes you're getting are spot on.

With servicing it's not the cost of the items but the time it takes to do it properly. If it's being done any cheaper you have to ask yourself how they can do it as they're obviously doing cheaper labour.

Try have to cough up for two services a year

Out of interest how much would JHP charge for a full service?

Hi Ston,i'm from Stoke-on-Trent,not too far away from you!

I always use JHP,Ducati Coventry for all my service & repair work, can't ever fault the work, but he's not cheap!!

If you're after meeting a few people for a ride, then why not pop down to Congleton for the DSC meet? It's the first Wednesday of the month, that's tonight if you fancy it! There is more info on the meeting/rideout section!

Might see you there?
