I only nod for REAL bikers...

I've noticed that nodding isn't really done within the M25 - simply due to the amount of couriers who are all too busy and the traffic all trying to knock you off.

It's great riding out of London - you know you're getting to the edges when the first inbound rider nods at you!

On Sundays and wednesdays The "nod" cam be pretty scarce near big bike meet areas, maybe to avoid the nodding dog syndrome!!

Maybe the 748/9** look too much like a Mito to get the nod??!!

A good reason to buy a new model??

Even worse, when I am in the car and I make a clear swing into the gutter to let a bike pass and they don't even acknowledge the gesture. Not doing themselves any favours. Watched a lass pass a bunch of cars on Saturday, most made a serious move so she had unhindered progress and not even a raised pinkie on the bar end.

ho hum.

Rgds,

Rob

I always pull well over to let bikes pass and I very rarely get a hand up to say thanks !

I always used to nod at other bikers when I was pillioning, It saved Dave having to do it !

As for the lady the other day Rob, she was probably too scared to take one hand off the bar to say ' cheers '

Personally, I hate it when a car drives in the gutter if you're behind them on the bike.

The bike has plenty of power to get past when I chose it to, so you stay where you are and I'll go when I'm ready, thank you!

But I will acknowledge if they do it, just out of courtesy.

Well I won't go as far as to drive in the gutter, more just to give you guys enough room to pass without straddling the white line too much where you could promptly get wiped out by the next myopic 75 year old !!!!

Point taken though !

Wasn't intended as a rant, just an opinion

I caught myself doing it the car just this weekend, so I like to think it's the right thing to do but I hate it when I'm on the bike myself.
