fcuk me get a grip on reality.

a move away from the DSC was mooted as its was percieved by some; rightly or wrongly (their free opinion) that it could be run better under a different 'team'. the general consensus was, that was correct but would rather keep it within DSC. there is now a meeting on the 18th to try and move forward.

there really are some drama queens on here, and its the same old story in that most have no real committment in DD.

You're missing the point Dickie....

Dom is a member of this site..and this series....

he's trying to removed this club from the equation and take it away from DSc...

It's like walking into a local pub and telling everyone to leave and come to your pub as the beer is better and cheaper....

Would that be acceptable ?

p.s IT'S NOT ABOUT DD... it's about right and wrong... it's about ettiquette, form, and doing the right thing. It just so happens that it's in relation to the DD series.

Think the DSC is ****, fine, clear off and start another club, just stop decrying the efforts of others, pulling down all what’s been achieved by endless whinging about what hasn’t. If so many are hacked of with this one you won’t have any problem will you?

Do the whingers march into Sainsburys and bawl at the top of their voice, this shop is ****, yer crisps are 1p more than ASDA and there are on the wrong aisle for weeks on end…………no? didn’t think so, so don’t do it here thank you very much.
Try it some time and see how long it is before you are “escorted” from the premises, customer (member) or not.

Keep it real

Ray.

Hmmm - to use your analogy, if the people in the pub thought that they could get cheaper and better beer and had already chosen to drink in that pub, then they'd speak to the existing pub to get them to change their beer - wouldn't they?

This is what's happening with the DD and DSC, some ideas for improvement have been suggested and we feel that if we can get them within the existing framework (cheaper, better beer in the same pub) it will be best for all.

Yes but the bloke who came in from the other pub still wouldn't be allowed to drink in there would he ?

i'm not saying the club shouldn't listen Tim, or that nothing needs fixing, i agree it does 100%.

but Dom is looking for suppport and IMO tried to take the series away from the club... you were at the meeting with me and the others... you saw and heard what was said and who was running it.

Wrong, every paid up member of the DSC has made a commitment to DD whether, in retrospect or otherwise, they want to.

Also, answer me this Dickie as you appear (to me anyway) to have strong and vocal views about DD.

I want to get a team into DD for 2007. I have a very good budget, lucky to get some amazing sponsorship and possibly a very quick rider (who is also watching these developments with interest). We might do very well if we can buy and prep the right bike.

We want to do it fairly and we want to do it right in a tight knit series!

Will we get that Dickie? Can you assure me that people will not cheat or try to divide the series etc, etc?

I love motorcycle racing but I'm **** at doing it!
I'm a director of two businesses - I'm good at management!

You're selling to me now Dickie ... with everything that has gone on ... should we do it? Persuade me?

Tim

Quite so, but what do you do if da management choose for what they feel are their own valid reasons to run the pub as they see fit, i.e. leave beer and prices as they are?

Do you continue to complain or leave?? Continue complaing and then what happens??...........the dreaded words............You're barred, the Licence holder has the right to serve who he/she sees fit.

Time will tell who is right surely?

The market decides,

Ray.
