[rockhopper]

Mrs Rockhopper (aka Lynn) is having her first bike lesson on saturday. Shes done loads of miles on the back of mine and tonight shes been sitting on it in the garage practicing with the clutch and gears etc.

I'm sure she'd appreciate your best wishes as she's a little bit nervous to say the least!!

Shes managed to find a female instructor which is what convinced her to go for it.

Any hints and tips would also be handy!!

Best of luck with it. I took mine with a mad bunch of blokes - was fun & educational too. Just DONT listen to hubby, listen to instructor till you have done the test. Then unlearn some - and listen to hubby again.

Mrs Rockhopper, go for it girl, and don't listen to Paul-none of us do.

My partner Jo is intending to do her test-maybe this year. The more ladies we have on bikes the better.

Shes doing direct access so i guess its CBT first then out on the road.

She fancies a Monster so if any one knows of a good one for sale for around the £1500 to £2000 mark then we might be interested.

LOL, i agree, friend of mine, she's an instructor. She did other halfs son's CBT. She said, don't offer him any advice, maybe show him clutch, brakes etc. Give him the advice after CBT.

My other half has been talking about doing her test as well. She's taken a shine to a VFR400! Although i suggested a Monster 600/620, as it won't be used that often, ie everyday bike. (kids 2 school etc)

Cant believe some of the insurance quotes we have been getting. £154 tpft on a 900 monster with zero no claims and zero years experience on a bike over 600cc plus an SP30!! £350 fully comp on the same bike!!

Also just had a quote of £550 fully comp on a 996bip!

Please ring Ducati Insurance - advertising in Pronto - got a brilliant quote from them for myself. In fact try both insurance companies and see for yourself!

Mrs rockhopper is not that nervous, it's Mr rockhopper who is!! Think he's worried I might have designs on his bike. Let you all know how I get on tomorrow.
