| Wanted: LH Mirror or Mirror Stalk for ST My long suffering ST needs a new mirror stalk, if anyone's got one, after what has to be an all time first for stupid accidents. Mrs Jools has just got a feck off big mobility scooter to help her cope with her Multiple Sclerosis and get up the hills around our house and over the park. Brilliant, a new lease of life all round. Except, the other day at the start of an quick trip to the supermarket, she got in her new chariot (that weighs 250Kg with all the batteries and everything) and shot off....backwards!!! Straight into my ST that was parked on it's centre stand about a foot behind her. Mobility scooter bumps up against the front tyre of the ST and pushes it 3 feet backwards on it's centre stand (told you the thing was powerful). It would've all been OK if she hadn't pushed the bike so far that the rear wheel dropped over a step in the path, leaving the centre stand in mid-air whereupon the bike fell over into the side of the shed thus finding out the hard way that mirrors were never designed to stop a 210Kg bike from falling over. Anyway...the mirror survived along with the mirror 'pod', and I've still got the spring, but the stalk is shattered into a dozen bits. If anyone's got a mirror stalk, great but I'll take a whole mirror if that's all that's going No...don't laugh...it's hard enough coping as it is  The Patent Jools Mood Meter -Today I am:           ___________^  |

| Hi Jools, I've got a complete L/H mirror - minus the spring - the pod is a bit scratched, the mirror is perfect and the stalk just needs a tiny bit of glue to a hairline crack at its' base where it sits on the headlight fairing.Oh, and its' a red one PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post (or if your coming down Barnet area, you can collect it if you wish) Lee |
