Possible help with broken bone injuries

Spotted in last months Superbike mag - I wondered if this might be of help to anyone......

"If you've had an acute musculo-skeletal trauma (bust bones) and are still suffering Dr. Julian Winer is offering free laser treatment in exchange to use your results to further his research. "My aim is to make the technology available to fellow bikers who so often let injuries spiral from acute to chronic, due to poor advice or lack of resources," says Dr Winer who hopes the research will help get the Laser Therapy (PBM) units, (which increase the healing of fractures as well as muscle and ligament injuries to joints), into hospitals around the country.

SuperBike reader, 996 owner and registered osteopath Julian works with lasers as a result of a skiing accident which partially paralysed his arm. After fully recovering from the injury after 11 months of Laser (PBM) treatment he's skiing, play footy and riding his 996 the same as ever. The laser treatment isn't a miracle cure, the units already exist, and have treated the likes of Beckham and Owen, in private clinics but are not currently in NHS hospitals.
To assist Julian you must fit the criteria, so not everyone is guaranteed the treatment, but basically he's looking for 100-odd people to take part in return for free (otherwise expensive) treatment. Those who reply and
contact you if you have the right symptoms. As well as those eligible for free Laser (PBM) treatment within the study group, they're also offering 30 per cent discount to all SuperBike readers for all osteopathic and laser treatment.

THEY NEED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
Name, address and contact details.
When was your accident?
What did you damage?
Did you receive hospital treatment?
Did you see your G.P. about this problem?
Did you see a specialist (please list, i.e. orthopaedic, neurologist etc)

Is your injury healed, are you able to function as before the accident?

How long did it take to heal/how long has it not healed for?

Also list any illness you are seeking medical advice on along with any medication.

CONTACT
for further details on Julian's laser trial team contact 0207 580 7876, or write to Julian Winer at lasertrial@winer-uk.com or Flat 17 (5th floor), 14 Queen Anne Street, London W1G 9LG

Please use the word ‘LASER’ in the heading of written correspondence. None of the information will be used by third parties and will remain strictly confidential.

Yeah,

I saw that as well Iconic.

Normally people for research would come from an agency who are paid for taking part in trials.

This is an excellent idea as those involved in trauma involving M/C crashes normally have some form of complication or lack of movement afterwards.

I know a couple of guys who have had this treatment one is a footballer the other a local guy who had a serious off on the road and saved up to pay for the treatment himself.

If you meet the criteria go for it.....The laser used has been around for a while now and is more than safe..........

My own personel feeling is that this is a good way of raising awarness that the units exist and try and force the NHS to purchase them. After all when Joe public heres about it and starts asking the pressure is on them.....Exactaly like when MRI scanners were only available in private clinics up till about 5/10 years ago.

If anyone from the board decides to go for it, drop me a line and let me know how you get on!!!

Regards

ScottyB

Anybody know what the score is with this guy? Sent a nice explanation on the 19th June about my crash injuries and how they probably meet his published criteria and havent even had the courtesy of an acknowledgement!
