Donington MotoGP

I had a great day out yesterday at the MotoGP qualifying.Met up with a few DSC peeps and had a good old chinwag. The crowds were huge.I dont know what the official figures say,but there was easily as many folk there as a BSB meeting. If you are going on sunday get there early and be prepared for the queue's to get out.
Couple of tips for ya,
Take a sidestand "puck" for the parking area's.Its pretty rough and virtually no hard standing.
Also in your rucksack should be a small portable radio. The Donington PA system is useless and the MotoGP bikes are seriously LOUD!Tune in to 1602 MW to hear the commentary.
Something to decent to sit on would be good too.
One more thing, take it easy on your ride up/down.I saw a lot of idiots out there and my journey home was delayed by two crashes. One very sorry looking Suzuki GSX in the side of an Escort estate. The other was a head on and I could'nt even tell what the bike was!
Almost had a head on myself as one goon on a Gixer decided to overtake over double whites as we crested a hill.
Oh,and the guy on the black M/strada on the A47,I assume you were out of petrol or had a problem.Mine NEVER go's THAT slow!
See ya there sunday folks!

Sorry I missed you yesterday mate.

We saw Scot, David Burnie, Monty, Tony and a few others but couldn't find you!

Those MotoGP missiles are truly unbelievable. I watched the practice on Eurosport last night and you just can't get the full impression on tv. Nevertheless, I'll be watching from home on Sunday so I'm planning to send Mary shopping, put the dog in the garden, put my earplugs in and crank the new home cinema system right up

BTW, we walked around to the "other" paddock (outside Redgate) where the R6 and Supersport boys were to see the JHP team. On the way we saw one of the biggest, flattest tarmac'd areas that I've ever seen. Little consolation as we trudged back through the mud to the car later in the day!!!!

That area is usually reserved for the sunday market!

I did spot you and Monty striding through the infeild trade area.I was trying on a new pair of boots at the time!
