Talking Sharpy's Ebay bargain purchase of the day !
Well happy !

bid on this :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

to give me the opportunity to update the front on my 749R if I wanted to, went out about 2 hours before the auction ended to take Claire to the Cinema

forgot all about it, so just checked, and I won it !!

Cool, now I can have 1st or 2nd generation looks on my baby R !!!

You will need to get the 05 mirror suports as well, due to the difference in fairing widths, not cheap as they are carbon as well.

I don't know if its the same, but on my 999 the side fairings have a male locating pin on them, the female that was not on the updated carbon nose cone I had.
Its tricky to replicate where the holes should be drilled so I removed the locating pin itself. It seems they were only present on the grey swing arm models.
No issues after that.
Nice buy.

this one seems to have the rubber grometted holes for the pins, from what I can see in the pics
