Thumbs down RIP Richard Weavers
Just heard from friends that a good friend of mine, and my first ever boss in the real world, died at the weekend in an accident at the final round of the British Superkarts championship at Silverstone.

You may remember the Superkarts from the Snetterton round of DD this year, in which Richard had raced.

This comes as a shock because his business partner, who was also a very good friend of mine, died last year from a heart attack at a very young age.

Thoughts go out to Richard's family.

Don't know why I'm posting this, just wanted to share it with someone.

I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather,
than screaming in terror like his passengers.- Jim Harkins

The superkarts bridge the gap between four wheels and two.

There was an report in Motorsport news on wednesday about the silverstone accident, was gonna post something up as anyone who saw the superkarts at Cadwell couldn't fail to be impressed and maybe felt the same concern as others did as witnesses to the bad accident at the start of their race, maybe just as well I didn't.

Condolences to friends and family,

Ray

One of the marshals has posted this on the New Era site. Really said news. Thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

Anyone losing their life in motorsport is bad, when it's someone you know or at least share a paddock with it's horrible-thoughts go to family and friends.
