I don't know how you manage with such a tiny garage and lack of tools and equipment
I like it. Don't like to hear it described as a 'bitza' though, that phrase smacks of shoehorning TL1000 lumps or summat into 916's (or going back to my childhood the Tribsas, Norbsas and Tritons where the engine was never, ever designed to fit that frame)
With a 996 engine that uses the same basic crankcases, pretty much the same engine design, with the same heritage but just a few evolutionary steps along the road I think that bikes like this retain their integrity.
I hope so anyway, because I'd like to do something similar to mine in the fullness of time - keeping all the original bits of course
