Snapped bolt - clever ideas for removal required

Arrgghh.....

Ok, we've all been there.

Fettling the bike ready for the start of the season, every fluid changed, new bits of bling installed. Looking good, then....

Two last things to do in the re-construction process, tank back on and rear seat unit.

Tank fits nicely into position, all tube re-attached. Line up the bolt, apply a little copper grease, start to thread it home nicely. Get out the torque wrench, check the setting, torque it down, BANG. Snaps the bugg3r.

So, now I have 2 problems.

1- To remove the offending bolt.
I've tried getting the dremel to cut a slot in it and use a screwdriver - no luck, chewed up - any more ideas aside from drilling?

2- New bolt - Ducati dealer?

Cheers

Jason

Sounds like time for the 'easyouts'.

See if you can find someone to lend you a set.

Re-slot it,
Little bit of heat,
Whack it with an impact driver.

Or offcourse an easyout just don't shear it, thats a whole nother world of pain
