Fitting CF airbox

I have a chance to buy a cheap Carbon Fiber airbox for my 916. I saw a post here on fitting one but kan you help me with any more helping hints , those that have fitted them.
Can i run my bike with the original air filters, do I need to do any modifications if I fit this ?
Thanks again for your help,
You guys should come over to SWEDEN one day , beautiful country for bike riding.
Thanks

its a doddle mate, even i have taken the airbox off and re-fitted..

all you need remove is the tank, the bellmouths (1/4 turn and they pop off and they pop off) release the airtubes from the little clips on the airbox sides and undo the six bolts holding it in...

just pop the new airbox on, reconnect everything and you are done...

filters aren't an issue as unless you have changed your airtubes they should be in those anyhow ....

hope that helps ...

I have just spent about 15mins going through how to remove the tank, box, and what pit falls to look out for only to find that it didn't upload.

Rick, watch out for rubbish dropping into the open bellmouths. Put a couple of socks in em. When removing tank, get someone to help, if no possible always keep one hand holding the tank left is best for me, while releasing the fuellines, electrical leads etc with the other.
