Flywheel

Flywheel on my 996R worked loose. Very nasty noise, clunking and grinding.
Talking to someone about it, he said that Ducati had issued a recall notice about it because the factory should have torqued them to 19 kg's not 12kg's.
Anyone know if this is true or where to definitively find out?

Don't think it was ever a recall. It's a long standing problem with all the bikes and Ducati did revise the torque spec from 186Nm to 210Nm.

Ducati UK would be able to tell you the definative answer

I read somewhere that factory recalls are only mandatory for safety related items. Good one eh!
